Lyrics by Eric Pastoral
Arranged by Eric Pastoral

There's an angel on my doorstep on her toes and looking in,
There's angels in the backyard drinking beer and playing gin;
There's angels on the highway driving fast with leather gloves,
Rolling down to Oregon from heaven high above.

	Chorus:
	There's angels on my doorstep coming in to rescue me,
	There's angels in America and angels overseas.
	If you can't find the heaven down here you won't find it up there,
	'Cause the good lord gave us paradise with angels everywhere.

Every time I go outside and take a breath of air,
I never seem to notice all the angels standing there;
And just around the corner when you hear their perfect song
Take flight on wings of heaven and float home where you belong.

These angels are not beautiful or strong or smart or brave,
They're just humble workers from the cradle to the grave.
And I am just a sinner who has nothing left to do;
Perhaps someday I'll realize that I'm an angel too.

One of Eric's homegrown bluegrass numbers, this was probably the first time we sang three-part harmonies together.
